Account Deletion

We are sorry to see you go. Because Avocado is an offline-first application, deleting your account is a two-step process to ensure both your cloud credentials and your local financial data are completely removed.

Important: Deleting your account from our servers will not automatically delete the financial data stored on your phone. To remove your financial data, you must also uninstall the Avocado app from your device.

Step 1: Delete Your Account (Google Auth)

To delete the email address and sign-up date we hold for your Google Sign-In authentication, choose one of the following methods:

Option A: In-App Deletion (Recommended)

  1. Open the Avocado app on your device.
  2. Navigate to the Settings screen.
  3. Tap on Account.
  4. Select Delete Account and confirm your choice.

Option B: Email Request

If you have already uninstalled the app and wish to have your account credentials removed from our database, please contact us directly:

Step 2: Delete Local Financial Data

Because your budgets, expenses, and travel logs never leave your device, we cannot delete them remotely. Once you have deleted your account in Step 1, wipe your local data by doing the following:

  1. Go to your device's home screen or app drawer.
  2. Long-press the Avocado app icon.
  3. Select Uninstall (or App Info → Clear Data).
